Susannah creates contemporary jewellery using recycled silver within an eco-conscious workshop. Her current Nottingham Lace collection, celebrating Nottingham’s heritage, uses snippets of vintage lace, which is imprinted onto the silver, achieving a delicate surface texture. The metal is then gently coaxed into fluid, organic shapes which reflect the movement of heavy lace. Susannah has always been intrigued how the making process using power and heat can transform a staid, solid piece of metal into a graceful, elegant piece of jewellery. Her jewellery is handmade using traditional silver-smithing techniques. She uses recycled sterling silver (hallmarked), ethically sourced gemstones and vintage lace.
